Oh wrong oh big guy. I'm a friend of wa8ded and talk to him every day. A
comparison of netrom and the original thenet shows a byte for byte rip
off. The nos dirivitives at least took the protocol and wrote legal code.
In your opinion the code was overpriced however the fact is netrom worked
as well as can be expected for what it was meant to do considering the
state of the art at that time. Further development was stopped not because
Sofware 2000 was out of business which it was not but because of
intellectual theft. The fact that is there are still many netrom nodes
running today. Actually a sad state of affairs for packet radio in the US.
The fact is ALL NODE SOFTWARE SUCKS!
