Well, you can easily run tcp/ip without any form of nos (see the
AX25-HOWTO). If you feel you need to run nos, however, I'd recommend
jnos, as tnos is no longer supported by its author.
In the jnos source distribution is a file, readme.lnx. Also in the jnos
docs there if a file, config.zip, which contains a file, linux.zip.
This has some good information on setting up jnos. If you get version
1.11c, you should be able to use whatever version of ncurses is
installed with Slackware, rather than only one or two specific versions.
You will probably notice that it is much more stable than the dos
version.
