Have you tried the new utils, in .rpm format from
ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/projects/ham/beta? they are working fine for me,
under kernel 2.2.10 ... no need for compile, just install under yast and
it's done.

That's, for sure, _your_ opinion and mine says: ok folks, go ahead, that's
the very true nature of linux. If one wished a "click, plug and play" OS,
there would be other choices, wouldn't be?
