[Hast, Chuck] is the && a separator such that each step should be
1. make dep
2. make bzlilo
3 make modules
4 make modules_install (this one is missing above but is in the
howto)
??
If so yes that is what I did.

[Hast, Chuck] None that I saw, I did see a message with each .h or
.c file
it was manipulating but it seemed to do one for all of them.

[Hast, Chuck] Yes it is

[Hast, Chuck] Below is a copy of the lilo.conf file
boot=/dev/hda
map=/boot/map
install=boot/boot.b
prompt
timeout=50
linear
default=linux
image=/boot/vmlinuz-2.2.12-20
label=linux
initrd=/boot/initrd-2.2.12-20.img
read-only
root=/dev/hda6

[Hast, Chuck] I use lilo
To make sure I am doing things correctly I have reloaded the whole
OS and am starting
out clean. Good thing is that I have it on a laptop so I can take it
around with me when
I do my work travel... B-}
