You do not need to specify PTT in this case, the sound modem doesn't
mind if you don't have PTT.

Perhaps the mixer settings on the receiving sound card are wrong?
Either the levels are wrong or the line in is not selected for recording.
Something like "smmixer s=line" (on SB16) should fix that. That would
be why smdiag doesn't show anything.
