If memory serves me right:

  1. A couple of months ago someone on debian-user asked about an up to 
date zones info. I believe he was from Brazil and they had a DST issue 
much like the one we are used to.
  2. There are complaints on debian-devel that the last Debian release 
had an old zones info. Why would people care if this is a non moving 
target? Actually, why would the site that Ehud Karni mentioned carry 
updates 3-6 times a year if this information is fixed?
