As far as I know, there is not even one line of foreign BiDi code in the sources used by IAI; All was developed in Israel (and I think I am free from telling you who developed it...). Porting to LessTif is TOTALLY not realistic (not to mention that there is no economical justification for such a multi-million Dollar project that wastes the tax payer money). The project is too complex to port it to LessTif, millions of lines, and many many dependencies. No emulation will ever be perfect, so unless you pass again years of patches and QA, you never reach the same degree of quality. While it's easy to write a software B that its quality will be higher than software A, it's almost impossible to do it when you also pretend to keep 100% compatibility (see WINE). It's amazing that LessTif succeeded to reach a so excellent point, that among a so huge project like Motif, there are still only hundreds of issues and bugs; But this number is high enough to make such a porting an impossible mission. And by the way: All the Hebrew and the BiDi stuff used by IAI will have to be re-developed if such a porting takes place. -- Eli Marmor [EMAIL PROTECTED] CTO, Founder Netmask (El-Mar) Internet Technologies Ltd. __________________________________________________________ Tel.: +972-9-766-1020 8 Yad-Harutzim St. Fax.: +972-9-766-1314 P.O.B. 7004 Mobile: +972-50-23-7338 Kfar-Saba 44641, Israel ================================================================= To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the word "unsubscribe" in the message body, e.g., run the command echo unsubscribe | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED]
