Sorry, guys, those days are gone. Yeda has good prices (better if you bargain and they will), good support, and they often have things in stock. The last time I needed an obscure part (wifi card for a 5 year old laptop), they delivered it to my door in less than 3 weeks after ordering from the U.S. The price was the same as the U.S. list price plus VAT. I could have gotten a discount by mail ordering it, but then I would have had to pay postage and clear it through customs. As for the operating system, it's a closed source window manager on an open source BSD derived system. Out of the box I run Macintosh apps along with X windows, ssh, etc. Geoff. -- Geoffrey S.
