Hi Shachar,
Spamhaus and SORBS routinely list yahoo, google, hotmail, tiscali and other freemail addresses. So the problem isn't just SpamCop.

Secondly, talking with ISP's is a waste of time, unless there is a designated community representative who speaks with a designated management representative, OR you have connections. Otherwise you end up speaking with a support desk person who is a student in the faculty of folklore at Hebrew U.

I manage this problem on the TkOS mail servers by overriding the SORBS and SpamHaus blocks for yahoo, gmail, hotmail, etc. Then we have a milter script originally written by Baruch Siach that checks that if the From address claims to be from one of these domain, the connecting IP resolves to a name under that domain. E.g. From gmail.com connections resolve to *.google.com. For freemail domains that also have DSL service we block individual IP addresses (overriding our RBL override) when we receive spam from them. This strategy allows gmail and others to get through while effectively blocking spam from those domains or From's masquerading as those domains. Contact me offlist if you want our exact configuration.
Regards,

 - yba

At least in the past, spamcop used to add to their RBL any host that had
the audacity of bouncing emails. Since gmail bounces emails, this may be
the reason for spamcop's reaction.

The solution is very simple. DO NOT USE SPAMCOP'S RBL!!!!

Talk to your ISP and let them know that they are using a broken spam
reporting tool.
