Dont worry, one of the advantages of using Linux (or any Unix)
is that the system cannot be affected by the popular forms of
"viurs", so you do not need any antivirus package.
There are other mechanism using which somebody could crack into
your Linux system. But if your's is a home system, chances are
remote that somebody might crack into that. Still if you want, there
are some software (Tripwire, I think) using which you can make your
system secure. I dont use it myself, so I dont know the configuration
details.
