You need to read comp.benchmarks faq. Words like "better", "faster" etc
mean little, without qualification. To answer your question, it really
depends on what you want to do with your computer.
For generic processor benchmarking, look for the results of
(a) Specint -- www.spec.org
(b) nbench
(c) www.cpureview.com
