SuSE 6.4 ??? Is it out already? Good. anyway, back the the feature/bug
war. I think the total idea is that SuSE probably goofed up. No, not
their fault that people are not writing fdisk etc [as Binand pointed
out earlier] for this FS. But I think my scheme of parition
/boot 16 mb EXT2
SWAP 128 MB
/usr bahut sara
/extended partition with N logical volumes for /tmp /etc /var etc. etc..
is a good scheme. Though I went about it the really hard way.
One YaST2 installation with almost everything. Automatically done.
Observed the sizes of each directory at the root and some logical
deductions. Came up with the approximate partition scheme for my
HDD. Then repartitioned after normalizing the size of partition
proportionately. And finally, got it. Right now, almost all of
my partitions are rather comfortably distributed and in 8.4 GB
of total space on my machine, only 16 MB is in ext2.
Like I said, waiting for a crash. Or to cause it myself.
Hang on, Binand. I might need the set for some more time :-D
