Yes, I have realised that this is the problem when I tried yesterday
on another machine. The version of lilo I am using doesn't support
booting from a reiserfs partition. So SuSE suggests, to keep a /boot
partion of ext2 and the rest can be reiserfs.
Along the way I realized another thing: reiserfs does not support
smaller partitions of size say 15mb for boot, even if your lilo is
updated. Anyone who knows: what is the minimum size for a reiserfs
partition to work?
