get the man pages in html format , leave the copy in your
windows partition, and use your browser to read it.

Sharukh> the ones I want to read ? Any way to access them from the

Look around on freshmeat -- there _might_ be a "man2html"
package or somesuch.

Sharukh> btw slightly off topic. If I load BeOS 5 on my windoze

FreeBeOS-5.0-Professional Edition doesnt touch your boot
record. It uses a loadlin style boot, which is why you need to go into
Windows to boot into BeOS. You could also make the boot floppy --
recommended for NT boxen -- and shove that into your drive and boot,
and loadlin on the floppy boots your BeOS install.

BeOS-Professional Edition -- the paid thing -- gives you "Be
Bootman" ... a semi-grub like loader -- not worth the time.

Sharukh> interfere with my LILO ? Anyone tried it ? For that
Sharukh> matter anyone try BeOS for Linux ?

Yes, many have tried it. Apparently you didn't follow the BeOS
help line that this place got converted to ;)

BeOS4Linux.tar.gz is just a tar ball, which people running
*only* Linux download and use ... the final product, FreeBeOS is the
same -- irrespective of whether you used Linux or Windows to get into
BeOS.

Now, BeOS is being closed source, *and* this is a
LINUX-india-help list .. the emphasis on LINUX ... which is NOT BeOS
... so you really should not be following this up -- if you're really
interested in more about BeOS, you should do some private emailing ,
and/or join the BeOS Mailing Lists ... and check Bebits.com and blah
blah ... Its really quite understandable if Khader or anyone else for
that matter gets infuriated.

Please take this offline, out of list mode, and if you feel
like it, go ahead and reply in my private email. I can't talk for
Suresh, but he's probably interested too? *shrug*

Maybe, Just *Maybe* Thaths could/should implement a filter to
block *NT* / *BeOS* emails and ruthlessly forward to /dev/null
                                                                --ravi
