I had registered as a subscriber with your service and done so
on the date of commercial commencement of the same in our district......

After getting through, I had to configure fetchmail in my linux box
to check the mail, well I was bluffed, it was showing some sort of
errors. After searching through a bucketfull of websites and
howtos, I found that this was because your POP server was not
100% POP3 Compatiable. .....

I called up the customer support to tell this and they had the sauce
to tell me that they cannot support Linux or any other OS other than
M$ Window$, well this means that your startup kit will cost a user
1500-2500 for the supporting OS and 400 for the kit, summing up
to 1900-2900 for the starters account of 30 hours. Well this is
absurd and preposterous, forcing us to use one OS.

I restrained from making any comments till now to keep my cool, but
after having the opportunity to have a heart to heart talk with one
of your (dont ask me who) personnel in the northern part of Kerala,
I got so agitated that I am posting this to the linux-india groups
too. He had the sauce to argue to me that even VSNL or Satyam do
not provide Linux support, well I asked him to log on to
www.chn.vsnl.net.in and check out the installation faqs, they
have a detailed description about how to interface kpp and fetchmail
with VSNL.

Also your CD cover *does not specify* that the minimum requiremet is
a Windows 95/98 capable machine. Is this what we users should
expect from a top notch company like DSL with back up from a reputed
parent like Sterling?. If you can support only one OS tell the
people that you can do only that.
