I am an eth.customer and equally dissatisfied with their services, but I refrain
myself from complaining to eth. For two things, one I have rarely received any
useful input and second I do not get paid for educating them.
If somebody tries to use linux with them, we welcome such fellow on this list
for assistance. I believe (And I found it out of experience,) that LI mailing
list is reasonably good compared to anything in market. Those people who are not
interested in learning new things and doing experiments are not qualified to
religiously argue.
I feel linux is better, but I don't mind saying that Win95 GUI is way too
faster than KDE1.1 that I use. I admit fact and expect other parties to do so.
If somebody refuses, argument ends there.
Further more, I would not like to comment about eth service. When I could have
18kbps speed on VSNL connection, eth was not exceeding 1 kbps, with 1bps or 2bps
occasional. Recently I found that many times ping cribs when pinging to their
DNS. Forget it. It's useless.
Sorry list, for wasting bandwidth but could not resist...
