Hi Mrinal & Shanu,

>/etc/rc.d/rc.sysinit, or some similar place. I added this:
>
>action "Loading mixer settings" /usr/sbin/alsactl restore

adding the line /usr/sbin/alsactl restore to /etc/rc.d/boot.local on my SuSE 6.3 box
gives the following error on startup :->

alsactl: Mixer element Input Gain Volume:0:200 write error: Invalid argument

Even if I type alsactl restore from the command line, it gives the above error.

I had done alsactl store before doing all the above things.

What could be wrong ?

Thanks in advance.
