Rajesh Fowkar saw fit to inform LIH that:
>Hi Mrinal & Shanu,
>alsactl: Mixer element Input Gain Volume:0:200 write error: Invalid argument
Hmmm... are alsa-libs, alsa-drivers and alsa-utils of the same version?
>Even if I type alsactl restore from the command line, it gives the above error.
I am using RedHat at the moment and it automatically saves/restores mixer settings on
startup using aumix (i think). On a Debian system, i did this -
1) Used aumix to set my mixer levels
2) Saved the settings to a file in /etc/aumixrc (man aumix)
3) Used the rc scripts to to invoke aumix and restore settings from the file
/etc/aumixrc
