will a reiserfs partition give slower perfomance with linux?I've heard that
it should not be used on boot partition.

yes sometimes on the next boot after the fsck the partition mounts properly
and there is no such message but mostly the same thing happens again on the
next (give root password for maintenance) boot.
When doing fsck on this partition I never found any questions and I did not
need to answer yes.I use e2fsck -f which is similar to fsck except that it
is for ext2. Without giving the -f switch to force checking e2fsck/fsck
reports the partition as clean immediately.
