1. I don't think so. Check the benchmarks for these. You can go to
Reiser's
   site from www.suse.com [there is a link, I am forgetting right now].
   The message is clear. So far as ext2 is concerned, I have read that
   RFS is at least 1.02 times better than ext2. In some other cases, it
is
   more than 40% faster.

2. RFS can be mounted comfortably, without cribs anywhere. notail flag
needs    be set to that partition to ensure that kernel image is
continuous so that
   LILO can load it without problems. And that is it.
