Any Via, SiS or Ali Socket 7 board should work fine, as far as I
know.
If you can get a good nonintegrated board, all the better.
Try a Voodoo Banshee, or a Trident Blade 3D. The video support
should be better than the SiS card.
The SiS 6326 card works fine under Mandrake, though.
For less hassle with other variants of Linux, a better supported card
might be in order. It will look better too.
Please do tell me about a good motherboard and
AGP card that will function well on linux as
well as being affordable. I plan to use win2000
as well as Red hat linux on it.
My assembler claims that only sis 530
motherboard is commonly used with amd. Are there
any compatibility problems with linux(it uses
sis 6326 integrated AGP card) Please do reply at
the earliest.
