Hi,

Nothing wrong with the SiS board per se...the 6326 works fine with
the new SiS drivers in X 3.3.6.
Boards are locally available for the K6-2...I've used Via'a MVP3 and MVP4 and
Acer Lab's ALi5. Work fine with Linux though UDMA drivers for the ALi5 are
not yet a part of the main kernel tree. Hedrick's IDE patches sort this one
out. ASUS has a number of motherboards that are a good buy, though slightly more
expensive than other makes.

Personally I'd recommend that you look for the new K62+ that has just hit the
market. It is basically the old K6-3 with souped up cache. Offers great
price : performance. The ALi5 with proper kernel patches is a good board.

Good graphics cards are a function of depth of pocket. I use a Matrox G200
and it rocks.
