Hi,
I want to install Oracle 8i on RH6.2. I have
created a user by the name oracle. and set the JRE
path for oracle user as described in the readme file.
But when I do the ./RunInstaller as in the readme it
gives me following error
"DISPLAY not set
Please set and try again
File or directory not found"
I am not able to get the reason for such
behavior. Appropriate rights are set fot the JDK and
its sub directories and my X server is running
properly. The error messages seems very confusing and
inedequate
Has anyone installed it before. Am I missing any
step for the installation.
