search on the net from the oracle on linux howto as there are quite a
few pitfalls... you need the exact version of the jre, you need to run
runInst.sh, you need an oracle patch and lastly you need to modify the
init.ora scripts.I have got/helped in setting up oracle on linux twice
so it works fine , guaranteed...
