use the following
#DISPLAY=<ur m/c ip address>:0
#export DISPLAY
ie. over the network
#DISPLAY=192.192.192.59:0
#export $DISPLAY
ie. for local m/c
#DISPLAY=:0
#export $DISPLAY
BTW, are u running the installer from Xwindows? Because I have successfully
installed Ora8i in my RH6.2 box ( it is dammmmmmmmmm slooooooowwwwwwwww in my
PII-64MB box :( )
