Hi Ashish,
Lilo is trying to boot from the wrong partition.
Try to pass root=/dev/hdaX
where X is the device number. Go on trying 1, 2, 3 etc. till you can boot.
Once you boot into linux. Edit lilo.conf to point to the proper device for
booting linux and run
lilo -v.
Now hopefully everything should work.
