Hi
You have set your machine to boot into X and your X is not properly configured.
OK, type 'linux single' at lilo prompt and press enter. This will drop you to a root
shell. Edit /etc/inittab and change the line something like 'id:5:init' to
'id:3:init'. Save the file. So you are telling linux to start in shell login. Now
issue 'init 3' at command prompt. And you will receive login prompt. From where you
can setup X as I told you earlier..
