Try to define things in the zone file clearly. Keep the full names
in the origin and mail-addr( full names must end in a (.) and others must
not have a (.) after name) , and hostnames only in the rest MX, NS
and the A Records. (Well its just my way, certainly not the best)
Also to debug the setup, try ls -d edp on the nslookup prompt. It
should print all your hosts in the edp domain. Check their fullnames and
addresses.
The other way is set q=any on the nslookup prompt and then give
edp on the prompt. It should print some info from which problems may be
traced out.
And as suresh pointed out, u shouldn't be using these ip's. A
better option is to setup the ip's in the range 172.31. Of course the
present ones will work if none of ur compu's are connected to the
internet, (As looks from the resolv file).
