Thanks for bearing with me for my ignorance about some stuff on DNS. :-)
Now both lookups forward and reverse work fine.

Here is the output :

[localhost]
$ORIGIN edp.

My problem starts here. Look at the following output :
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
telnet scosysv
Trying 160.1.1.2...
telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Network is unreachable
[root@dempolinux /root]#
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
>From any node I should be able to login to the SCO server. Now on the Linux
server if I try to telnet I get the above stuff. DNS seems to resolv the IP
address properly, but why this Network is unereachable error. Is this
because the IP of sco is in the block 160.1.1.... and IP of my Linux server
in the block 192.168.1....?
The problem is there with the nodes also. Now here rajeshpc is a dos client
connecting to SCO server with static IP 160.1.1.12 and now for linux I have
assigned it a static IP of 192.168.1.11. Can I use the same IP 160.1.1.12
for logging in to linux too?
Thanks & Regards
Rajesh
