You can try the following....
Create a small primary partition of about say 20MB within the first 1024
cylinders and then name it(mount point) as /boot during install. If there is no
space within the first 1024 cylinders then use FIPS to break up C:. FIPS is
available on the PCQ RH CD in dosutils directory. Read the FIPS
documentation carefully! Install LILO on the /boot partition.
Set the /boot(/dev/hda? ?=1-4) partition as the active partition.
If you are intimidated by the above procedure, you can create a boot disk
and boot into Linux using that. You'll get the option to create a boot disk
during install. The floppy disks available today are highly unreliable!
