ftp://metalab.unc.edu/pub/Linux/system/boot/lilo/lilo-21.5.1.tar.gz is the latest 
(from freshmeat). 
Floppy disks are lousy anyway.
Make a new generic bootdisk from the CD.(There should be something in
the DOSutils folder. Or you can look up http://www.bootdisks.com (IIRC). Or boot off 
the CD in rescue mode, then mount your patritions correctly manually and chroot to the 
appropriate directory. I recommend using the floppy.
compile lilo, install and run it giving a proper config file.
Installation is done by a shell script, IIRC.
(I would recommend reading the man page for the new lilo).
