It did screw up my system. Every reboot, it would reset my sendmail.cf to
it's original state, removing all the changes I made to it. This even after
I had not used linuxconf _for anything_. the problem finally went away when
I when I disabled linuxconf completely from ntsysv. The problem then went
away. Believe me, it was a frustrating week or so till someone suggested
getting rid of linuxconf. And all this on a standard RHL 6.1 (PCQ)
*everything* install.
