the following lines are from the bogomips howto from linuxdoc:

AMD K7/Athlon               clock * 1.00          5.6
AMD K5/K6/K6-2/K6-III       clock * 2.00         11.1

and that is what made me prompt that it should be: clock * 1.0
but since all AMD's are doubling the value, seems like the howto 
needs to be corrected.

am running 2.2.16-3 (pcq aug 2k).  maybe all the fish is due to an 
older kernel? ;-)
