Hi Arvind,
In fact your mail got through to the mailing list.
On my Red Hat 6.2 system the user ID of ftp is 14 and home directory is /home/ftp.
You can try creating a new user ftp with the above options. I don't know what is the
password, sorry :-)
Somebody from the list may be able to help you.
