It that's the buffered disk reads, then it's pretty amazing,
but if that's the buffered cache, reads, it doesn't reflect the actual
performance of the disk.
anyway, here're the commands I use in rc.local -
-----------
/sbin/hdparm -c1 -d1 -m16 /dev/hda
/sbin/hdparm -k1 /dev/hda
fi
