hrrrmmmm... for _all_ cards?  that one card might be flaky / faulty.

no - it worked quite ok in 2.2.16-3 and 2.2.16-22 ... if you want to upgrade
kernels, build a kernel rpm (or get the rpm) and use that - upgrading a kernel
through rpm is not rocket science ;)
