^Z wont "KILL"
 the process, but just "suspend" it. the folowing ^D wil log u out of
the shell. so the process stil exists.

u can however do a ^Z which wil give u the job-number of the process
suspended. u can use the job number (insted of the PID) to kill it by
"kill %[job-number]" e.g. if job-number is 2 then give "kill %2".
