on my SuSE 6.4 box ...
$ locate pidof
/sbin/pidof
/usr/share/man/man8/pidof.8.gz
/var/cache/man/cat8/pidof.8.gz
$ file /sbin/pidof
/sbin/pidof: symbolic link to killall5
killall5 is the SystemV killall command (sends a signal to all processes except
the processes in its own session so it wont kill the bash shell its called
from, for instance.)
