IMHO...

i think its a wonderfully idea. i am in bbsr maybe someone can send
me the worked out cd and i can copy it and send it whosoever might need it.
i mean you are saying that who'll take the responsibility, i can do this much.

Anyway its not important, how its done... i think you guys should try and work
this one out. It would be very nice indeed. People in India have, or rather
had, access to linux only through pcq and chip but now linux coverage has
considerable reduced - either that or i perceive a greater need than the magazine
people. A cd like this would provide much relief to people with slow connects
etc. The benefits are infinite.

there are people selling linux cd etc. but i think a ilug cd will have a
special niche as

1. People selling linux cd are selling distribution not software such as linux
games or internet tools, i think.. though i dunno for sure.

2. There is a lack of awareness about such vendors. whereas ilug has a large
body of people associated with it.

3. Since you guys will pack the cd and know what's on it, people have
someone turn to in case they don't know how to unpack tarballs ;-)

4. People selling are there to make money.

Thanks
sukrit
