Hi,
I am using Dishnet connection, and am using the PAP protocol only. I have
tried wvdial, and minicom too. With minicom, it dials properly, the Dishnet
server replies, and a connected sound comes, and the 'offline' changes to
'online' in the bottom right corner. But after this when I use a browser, It
doesn't work - I seem to be offline. Also, next time I use minicom, it
hangs. I have tor reboot. What could be the problem? Kindly help, If you
have overcome a similar one.

are u using the proper authentication type. you seem to be using DishNET.
try
PAP.
use wvdial. it will detect the authentication mechanism.
also try dialing from minicom and see what happens..
