Sure way out of this.

1)Delete all your extracted archives. Reextract them.
2)Export QTDIR, KDEDIR and LD_LIBRARY_PATH:$QTDIR/lib:$KDEDIR/lib assuming 
that QTDIR/KDEDIR are at wierd locations like /usr/local/qt and /opt/KDE2.1 
for me.
3)Now run ./configure;make;make install.

It shouldn't fail.

One thing to check is Qt version and KDE version. You might like to 
reconsider Qt-1.45 as that's practically useless except for KDE1.1.2. 

Use Qt-2.1.0 at least. It comes with RHL6.2. Read requirements for software 
carefully...
