Hello all,
I'm new to linux. I recently installed Red Hat 6.1 from a PCQ CD in my system. I have
a sis6215c graphics
card.
On starting X, the display was distorted and there was a large square in place of the
cursor. After
going through the previous posts in this group I managed to solve the problem and get
a decent display by
adding the following lines in the /etc/X11/XF86Config file:
Option "no_bitblt"
Option "no_accel"
My problem is that the display gets distorted again and the cursor changes back to
square, once I reboot
the system. Then I have to run Xconfigurator and edit the XF86Config file again to
restore the display.
This does not happen always, but it happens nine out of ten times.
Please help me with solving the problem. Thanks in advance.
Sanjay
