Hi,

does the XF86Config file get overwritten? This should generally not happen
unless you (or the system) runs Linuxconf. Anyway, try installing a
different version of the SVGA server and check if that works. The XFree86
package is fine and probably you don't need to touch the XF86Config file
either. Maybe there is simply a version mismatch. Try installing an older
or newer version of the SVGA server.
