I have been using qmail at home for the last one year or so. The
present configuration is like this:
1. The box does NOT have a dns running. I have recently installed
dnscache from the djbdns package for local DNS caching, but no DNS
server.
2. I am using a dummy domain for my system e.g. my machine has the
FQDN kajaal.home.
3. All outward mails are being sent to a local user, and stored in a
Maildir.
4. A cron job on my machine connects to the Net, and uses serialmail
to send all mails from the maildir, to my ISP's mail relay.Also,
fetchmail fetches my mail from the ISP mail server.
