I haven't tried it out on a production machine. I use tinydns from
this package for my machine at office(which handles couple of domains
for the staging servers). It was really easy to setup though. All I
know about performance are third party accounts(excluding DJB's own
statements ;) which said that it was FAST and used very less
resources.
