> Yes - but how do you prevent unauthorized persons from mailing to the
list?
The question of unauthorised persons does not arise as only the addresses /
users mentioned in the virtusertable will get the mails
Lets see a possible scenario
the aliases file has an entry
dept1: user1, user2, user3
dept2: user4, user5, user6
org: dept1, dept2
In the virusertable the entries would be
[EMAIL PROTECTED] dept1
[EMAIL PROTECTED] dept2
[EMAIL PROTECTED] org
Now if the management wishes to send an organisation wide mail it simply
sends the mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
If a particular department needs to receive mail a mail with [EMAIL PROTECTED]
is sent
org / dept1 / dept2 ....deptx... are pop accounts
user1....userx..... can be pop / normal accounts as desired
The downside is that a userx can send unsolicited mail to the entire
organisation
But in the first place we have mentioned that its a small organisation and
hence the userx can easily be traced back
