As long as you are not overclocking your cpu and your cpu fan and/or
heatsink is proper, you do not have much to worry about. It is assumed
that your ambient temperature (of the room is reasonable and your smps
fan is working and your cabinet is proper). Your cpu if powered on and
clocked is never idle. It will always be drawing power and is designed
to work that way. So go ahead and help the SETI cause if you want to,
who knows the truth may really be out there.
