Hi,
I bought a new PC and have Linux installed, along with
WIN98.
I could configure the display, mouse devices, looking
at the manuals. I have an internal modem.
Linux is not able to detect the internal modem.

My system configuration is:
Pentium III, 850 MHz.(Mercury MotherBoard)
Linux- Red Hat Linux 7.0 2.2.16-22
Modem: HSP56 MicroModem 56kbps.

Win98 detects it as COM4 port.

In LInux, I checked /proc/pci file, and found
a communication controller with Int 9 and port
0xC400[0xC401]

How will i ensure Linux detects my internal modem,
which Win98 could do?

Thanks in the mean while,
Regards,
Pradeep
