Upto here - mine is ditto. But here there is a difference:

Why does that happen ? I currently have no hdparm settings running at boot !

No idea whatsover. The only thing i thought last time around was i810 video 
was grabbing resources which had to be snatched back. Yeah, thats crude - but 
thats what i thought.
