Hi,
1) I'm on a Dial-up (I seems like rdate is programm that uses the internet - 
and I don't even have it installed)
2) running SuSE, so no /etc/sysconfig... or <<setup>> or linuxconf (I should 
have told you directly, sorry)
3) tried with yast several times, set the timezone on local or GMT - didn't 
help /change anything

Had to change the settings in /etc/rc.config by hand (put everything on GMT) 
than ran SuSEconfig and rebootet. Now everything seems fine. Seems to be a 
yast-bug.
